1000heads wanted to make a real change to their business through their involvement with the Like Minds 2012 ideas festival.
The challenge to their staff was to come up with suggeststions to change the business – and the winner came to Like Minds. Meg Grogan was that winner.
She was intrigued by how smart everybody was, which was what made her join the business – too many people throw around the terms “social media” and “social business” ad nauseam. 1000heads seemed to be approaching this from a really smart direction, she said. She wanted to see this reflected in everything they do.
Her suggestion: Everything that comes through the door is met with a team representing all the disciplines they have. Also, she wanted to make use of people’s passions – if they’re working on film, fashion or cookery, there must be people on the team are passionate about it.
They started working with coaches a month ago to make this happen.
Other initial initiatives:
- Pairing insights people wit creative people.
- Colour-coded bulletin board of everyone’s passions and interests.
