Allan Jones launched Uncut magazine in 1997 and wrote a popular monthly column called Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before for 15 years. The column was based on his experiences as a music journalist in the 1970s and 1980s, a golden time for the music press.

Allan brings stories – many previously unpublished – from the golden days of music reporting. Long nights of booze, drugs and unguarded conversations which include anecdotes, experiences and extravagant behaviour.
