Here’s another video from our Creative Thinker in Residence Dave Birss. Dave spends a fair amount of his time working with companies to show them how to come up with more effective ideas. The most challenging companies are often the ones with the strongest corporate culture.
In this video, he talks about the problem with the current approach to culture that has been popularised in recent years. And he explains the difference between a liberating culture and a restrictive one. This is all because ‘creativity‘ continues to appear at the top of the list of desirable skills. But the barrier to ideas is often the organisation more than the individuals within it.
