FinTech & RetailTech Trade Mission to New York.
We’re returning to New York during Social Media Week from the 22nd – 26th February 2016. We’re taking a group of UK companies working in FinTech and RetailTech to meet a range of like-minded businesses, financial services companies, investors and accelerators in Manhattan.
Britain is the most attractive country in the world for building a FinTech business… …London and the UK will lead the FinTech sector” – Eileen Burbidge, Passion Capital and the UK Government’s special envoy for FinTech.
We believe, along with ex-Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins, that a new wave of tech-savvy startups that can do things better, faster, and cheaper than the big banks and will disrupt their traditional businesses like lending, payments, and wealth management. A lot of this new wave is based in London and we want to introduce them to the financial community in New York to help simulate more growth and opportunity.
Mission Registration Fees.
The fees for each participant are £950.00 – £750.00 for the second participant from the same company. Fees for investors and corporates are £1,800.

Travel Arrangements.
All participants are responsible for the cost of their own flights and accommodation. We have negotiated favourable rates with our travel partner for Like Minds Mission attendees. While you’re not obliged to travel at the same time and stay in the same hotel, we’ve found it’s more fun for all involved if you do!
Please note you will need an ESTA visa to gain entry to the US, you can apply for one here. Please ensure you have been approved for entry to the US before booking your travel arrangements.

Our schedule is outlined below, the specific US companies you you have asked to meet with will be identified in your registration confirmation email. We will also be talking to each company to identify who else they would like to meet on a bespoke one-to-one basis while we’re in New York.

Like Minds Live!
We’re running a Like Minds Live! day consisting of two panel debates on on #Fintech & #RetailTech on Thursday 25th at retail digital agency Tenthwave, one session will focus on “The Future of RetailTech” and the other on “The Future of FinTech”. All panels will be live streamed to a global audience. Participating UK companies are invited to join the panels.
